This loaf is sometimes referred to as “black bread” which is inspired by the classic German recipe. We have modified our version to be a lot less dense to suit the British palate. It has a distinctively deep flavour, which awakens the appetite and creates the desire to eat more. We won’t judge you if you eat the whole loaf!
Serving suggestion – Just like our European neighbours eat it; we recommend you try this bread with smoked meats, smoked fish and smoked cheeses.
